30 mins £4 / 45 mins £6 / 60 mins £7

(2)  Cancellation of Monthly Notice Policy

·      Notice of four weeks must be given in writing if a child wishes to cease attending lessons. Fees will still be due even if the student is unable to attend class until the completion of the notice period. Fees will not be refunded if a student decides to leave during the course.

(3)  Attendance Policy

·      It is a fundamental necessity for the teacher/choreographer to have the time to work with the students; therefore, all pupils are expected to meet a 80% minimum attendance. Parents are asked to contact us when their child is absent giving an indication of the reason.

(4)  Lateness Policy

·      Students are expected to arrive on time. Dance is a physical activity that requires the body to be warmed up in order to execute movement safely. Late students miss the proper warm-up and therefore may sustain an injury. Students who arrive more than 10 minutes late may be asked to observe the class for reasons of health and safety.

(5)  Dress code and lost property policy

·      Students must present themselves in a tidy manner at all times.

·      We encourage students to buy the correct uniform, listed on our website, after a trial period in the class.

·      FSD Dance do not accept responsibility for items lost or stolen, although anything we do find will be placed in lost property.

(6)  Behaviour Policy

·      During sessions, students are expected to behave in a polite manner. They are expected to listen and we discourage unnecessary talking. If a student is causing disruption to others’ learning they may be asked to leave the lesson.

·      Any unacceptable behaviour from students and/or parents/carers will not be tolerated. Unacceptable behaviour by pupils may result in exclusion from current and/or further activities. Parents or family members may be banned from premises, events and/or performances.

(7)   Anti-Bullying Policy

·      FSD Dance recognize that every child has the right to enjoy a life free from bullying; therefore, we will always take seriously all allegations of bullying and are committed to deal with it effectively when it does happen. We will always endeavour to work with students and parents to prevent it from happening.

(8)  Code of conduct – Children & Parents

·      Students are not permitted to use mobile phones during a class. Any mobile phones brought into the class must be switched off.

·      Photography or videoing is prohibited in class time by students, without prior permission.

·      Parents/Carers are required to accompany their children to the studio and to collect them from there at the end of class. The school cannot be held responsible for children outside the studio premises.

·      All children under the age of 11 years must leave the premises with a parent or carer. If children under the age of 16 years wish to leave the premises without an adult, FSD Dance must receive a signed letter from the parent/carer giving permission for this.

·      No parents/carers are allowed into the studio whilst dance lessons are in progress – by invitation only.

·      It is the parents/carers responsibility to inform FSD of any changes regarding the students’ medical conditions or emergency contact details. In this case please update your class4kids medical information.

·      It is the responsibility of the parent/carer to notify FSD of any illness or injury that may affect the child’s participation at class.

·      It is the responsibility of the parent/carer to regularly read the Website/Facebook for information in order to be fully aware of all upcoming events.

·      FSD Dance reserves the right to refuse admittance to any parent/carer of a student of the school, if that person demonstrates inappropriate, violent or abusive behaviour/communications to any staff member, student or other parent at FSD Dance.

(9)  Health and Safety

·      FSD Dance take seriously their responsibility to ensure the health and safety of all participants, teachers, and volunteers; and takes appropriate measures to make sure the environment is safe for all.

·      The School will undertake regular risk assessments regarding premises hired and any concerns will be raised with the providers.

·      Dance is as an active engagement as any sport, and whilst every effort is made to avoid them, injuries can happen. The school accepts no responsibility for injuries sustained via any means other than a teacher’s negligence.

·      All accidents will be recorded and logged

(10)   Use of photography, videos and recordings

·      Photography and filming by parents or students during class is strictly prohibited.

·      FSD Dance may take photographs of the students and use these images in our school prospectus or in other printed publications that we produce, as well as on our website, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages.

·      Parent/Carer consent must be given to the use of all photography and video recordings in line with these terms and conditions, otherwise their children may not be able to take part in classes or other performances. When registering on class4kids you will have the option to select yes/no.

·      No photography or videoing of any student/s in class time is permitted by students or parents/carers, without prior permission.

(11)  Miscellaneous

·      A certain amount of risk is involved by taking part in any physical activity. Students taking part in any classes or events run by FSD Dance do so at their own risk.

·      All teachers are qualified, DBS checked and insured. However, due to the nature of teaching dance, sometimes it is necessary to correct positions physically. This is always conducted with care and professionalism.
